“ The food is always amazing at Black Bear. If you have a hearty appetite, it is the place to go! I always have left overs for the next day. My food was very good but my husband's meat was over cooked! So just be sure to specify how you want it done. This particular Black Bear wasn't as busy as others where you have to wait awhile for service. I will definitely go back !! ”
“ Order a take out brunch. Was cooked fresh & the portion sizes were very satisfying. The volcano plate will fill you and the price point is not to high as well. They do have specials through the week. Head on over and try Black Bear Diner ! ”
“ Had an amazing server, Carrie, and she told us about the sauce that Black Bear has! We’ve been coming to Black Bear for years and this is the first time a hostess/server shared this amazing sauce! Food as usual is amazing! Hungry? Come here. Breakfast served anytime. People friendly. Very nice atmosphere. ”
“ Rhiannon our waitress was simply awesome. Her customer service skills were top notch and she really made our lunch time visit very enjoyable. The food was also very good. Fantastic place to gather for a great meal. Rhiannon should be commended for a job well done! Laura Hill ”
“ Came here for an early Sunday dinner while in Boise. There was plenty of parking, probably due to the time we went. We were seated very shortly after entering, and our waitress was quick to get us our drinks. The place had a welcoming atmosphere, and everyone seemed friendly. I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes/ gravy, and broccoli. My meal also came with a salad which was okay. My wife had the turkey club sandwich with French fries. Both meals were very good, and the portions were adequate. Prices were reasonable. I would recommend coming here for a good meal if you're ever in Boise. ”
“ Took a bit of time to get my food but when it came, it was excellent. Sometimes when you ask for a cheeseburger with a gluten-free bun, most restaurants assume that you also mean taste free and condiment free. This thing had tomatoes, onions, lettuce, sauce, and a bunch of other stuff. It was really delicious. ”
“ Not all Black Bear Diners are the same. This location off State Street was phenomenal! I enjoyed "The Grizz" with 2 pancakes 2 bacon slices 2 sausage links, a slice I thick ham, and over easy eggs . There were 8 of us that dined in on a Sunday morning, and the wait time was no more than 5 minutes. Our sever was very polite, and we enjoyed our overall experience ”
“ Fantastic first experience! Food was great. Portions good size. Friendly staff got all our orders correct. The only problem was my elderly mom got locked in the bathroom stall because the latch knob was broken. ”
